It's not isochromic - it doesn't show equal red for equal deforestation. It over-emphasizes larger countries - so if a cluster of small countries were to add up to more deforestation than a big country, you wouldn't see it. | |||
TODO: Create a proper isochromic map: For each country, divide its deforestation rate by its total land mass. The result should determine the shade of red to color the country. | |||
Btw, one thing I like about the current map: It's "corrected for trade", so you get to see who's responsible for the carbon emissions. But that's a good idea for a separate map. | |||
