The crop choices page suggests that vegetables sometimes get extraordinarily high crop yields, and so the most land-efficient way to feed the world could be to grow massive amounts of vegetables, dehydrate them, powderize them, and use that as flour.
But the how much energy would that food-dehydration take?
Since most of today's energy comes from fossil fuels, one way to look at this would be...
