Forests sequester carbon, but they also have a lower albedo than deserts (i.e. forests absorb more sunlight than deserts). Which factor outweighs which? Also what about the difference in cloud cover? In sum, are we sure that reforestation would actually help cool the planet? ^{[CASE STUDIES needed]}
