Some basic goals/requirements
- The algorithm should promote good content, but not make you addicted, anxious or depressed
(...)( note: Obviously we can't expect it to be perfect. But it should at least be less addictive and less harmful to mental health, compared to the status quo ) - Perhaps fun videos should be on a separate feed from serious political topics and tragic news stories
- Avoid promoting misinformation, ragebait, and low-priority controversies
- Avoid overwhelming the user with too many things that feel like "i gotta see this now or else i might not ever see it again"
