Every once and awhile, I'll think of some idea for a product that I wish existed (i.e. "they should really make this"). But I don't have the money or time to actually develop it, bring it to market, run the business, etc.

I'd much rather just post the idea somewhere and let other people "steal" it. ☺️❤️

"If it's such a good idea (and profitable too), why haven't companies done it already?"

Sometimes the idea has only crossed the minds of people who are NOT in any position to make it happen (or even pitch the idea to someone who can).

• Even just understanding why an idea is so needed, might require a lot of specific context and life experience. The people who understand might not be the same people who have capital or an interest in starting a business.
  • Even though companies do market research, their surveys are often multiple-choice questions with very little room for comments, and so customers' good ideas don't always get heard.
