Prevent dangerous AI
Current threats
Not being able to trust camera footage anymore
- Could make it harder to solve crimes
- This includes police brutality. Police must be held accountable. The fact that everyone has phones and dashcams has helped a lot this past decade. Now this might be at risk.
- Could make it harder to hold governments accountable
- TODO: Add examples of false info/memes spreading ever since Sora 2 discussion there was that one about "protest money", i gotta find it again
- TALK: What can be done? Mandatory watermarks? Content signatures? Anything else?
Spam and slop
- Scams can be made to look more legit.
- Far-right political bots trolling the internet, wasting the time of people who actually care about discussing how to build a better world.
- Hard to promote good written content in a sea of generated crap. People might think your writing is AI anyway
Unemployment?
Unemployment could be fine if we fix the real problem: In our current economic system, you generally need a job afford food, housing, etc.
- There are better alternatives to the current system!
