A lot of other wikis (such as Wikipedia) don't allow original research - but we do. In fact, we encourage it.

What is original research

This section has not been filled in yet.

Why it's needed

When it comes to developing good insights, half the battle is asking the right questions. Often times, there are no existing academic papers available that ask & answer those exact questions. Therefore, we have to do it ourselves.

Another benefit of original research is that it doesn't have to be as detailed as an academic paper - it can be as simple as a few paragraphs (and more details can always be added later with links to additional pages).
