The world needs more housing. This page is about how it could be constructed better and more affordably.
Status quo
Some common problems that exist currently with low-cost neighborhoods: discussion I think we should also add a link from here to some page on how to improve existing neighborhoods, because that involves fixing the same problems listed here.
- Crime
- Long commutes - nothing in the area
- Lack of third spaces
- Everything looks the same
- It's not even all that affordable
Here's a radical idea: It's perfectly possible to have low-cost housing that doesn't have these major problems.
