- oil has omega-3 and more
- debunk stuff about it being bad for you
- to be fair, refined oil is not as nutritious as the full seed. It would be cool if we could use the entire canola kernel instead of just the oil. Canola kernels got lots of protein, vitamins, minerals and emulsifiers. Maybe if the kernels are boiled and pureed, it could replace milk, eggs, and oil - all in one, when used in baked goods? How would it taste? Canola is similar to mustard seed, right? Maybe not ideal for cookies
(...)( or maybe it is? sweet and savory: combine unrefined sugar, whole corn flour, garlic powder, chili powder, and whole canola puree? People I grew up with would find that a little too weird, but maybe it could catch on - worth experimenting with recipes ) , but still: I'm sure there are some recipes where that flavor is suitable. Maybe put all of this under the title "unrefined canola"? - Canola has a lower crop yield than grains (calorie-wise). How bad is that for deforestation?
Btw, the page canola oil could merge here
