preliminary[edit source]

I was thinking we could invent some sorta small heat exchanger that can be installed easily, connects to your window. Not a central ventilation system, but still allows you to pump in fresh air on demand, while pumping out old air, all while allowing the old air to heat the new air (in the winter). I know it would involve a lot of ugly pipes, but maybe it could still be aesthetic enough if they're ran along a wall and/or ceiling or something.

I haven't thought enough about the engineering details, but I hope it could feasible and not prohibitively expensive. Thoughts?
