Plant-based using status quo crops
Suppose if farms continued producing the same crops, but the crops were not used as animal feed, and instead were used directly to make food:
- What would the diet look like?
- How much less farmland would we need?
Nutrition analysis
This section has not been filled in yet. discussion TODO: use the FAO/USDA analysis i did awhile back. Lots of corn and soy, but still nutritionally balanceable
Farmland reduction
This section has not been filled in yet. discussion Based on "status quo total human-edible crop calories produced" vs "how many calories the average person wants to eat": Best case (zero food waste) we'd need half as much land, if i remember correctly. For average case (same food waste as status quo), i gotta go find data about food waste again, to factor it in.
